Speech by John Miland.
John said he had received a word from the Lord, which he wanted to share with us.

2.Kings.4,1 Now a certain woman of the wives of the prophets cried to Eliseus, saying: Thy servant my husband is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant was one that feared God, and behold the creditor is come to take away my two sons to serve him. 
² And Eliseus said to her: What wilt thou have me to do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in thy house? And she answered: I thy handmaid have nothing in my house but a little oil, to anoint me. 
³ And he said to her: Go, borrow of all thy neighbours empty vessels not a few. 
⁴ And go in, and shut thy door, when thou art within, and thy sons: and pour out thereof into all those vessels: and when they are full take them away. 
⁵ So the woman went, and shut the door upon her, and upon her sons: they brought her the vessels, and she poured in. 
⁶ And when the vessels were full, she said to her son: Bring me yet a vessel. And he answered: I have no more. And the oil stood.

“Yes, says the Lord, you shall know that I am the same yesterday, today and forever. As I was in the days of this widow, when I blessed her with oil, behold, I am the same today, says the Lord. If you will offer what you have and let me take care of it, let me be allowed to bless it, then you will see that it will be for many. For behold, nothing is impossible for me, is anything too difficult for me? No, says the Lord, it was I who created the heavens and the earth. It was I who spoke, and it was done, I commanded, and it stood. Behold, all things are upheld by the word of my power, says the Lord. Therefore, put your trust in me and rely on me through all things, says the Lord. For behold, I care for you.
I will shake this city again, says the Lord, with my power, you shall be astonished, says the Lord, when I reveal my power in the midst of you. For behold, my power is present and therefore I want you, my child, to seek me and to enter my armory. And I, the Lord, will equip you with the strength you need. And behold, people will be astonished when you speak my word and bring a greeting from me, then people will experience being saved. Yes, they will still come in sin distress and they will cry out to me for salvation, says the Lord. For behold, it is not you who shall convince men of sin and of judgment and of righteousness, I will do that by my Holy Spirit, says the Lord. I have sent it, that it may convict of sin and of judgment and of righteousness and when the Holy Spirit may reign among you and when it may fill you and it may fill the room, says the Lord, then I will say that sinners will fall on their knees and they will cry out to me for salvation. Amen. Hallelujah.”

The story of the widow with the oil jar reminded me of how our mother taught us to pray. According to the message, I was to go out and testify about Jesus. For example, I testified to a girl at the Biology Building at Blindern, University of Oslo, and told her that Jesus had said that I should seek him with all my heart, for the eyes of God run to and fro throughout the whole earth, so that he may with his power come to the aid of those whose hearts are completely devoted to him and so I expect that he will give me help in the form of a wife.
