Speaking in tongues by Mari, interpretation by John:
“Yes, says the Lord, if you are willing, you will eat of the good things of the land. Then you will see that I will lead you into the land that flows with milk and honey. You will know the blessing in every way, says the Lord. But if you are willing to walk in the way that I have set out for you, which I am leading you, do not look at the trouble, do not look at the problem, but walk in the way that I have set out for you, says the Lord, then the blessing will be over you, and you will be a blessing.
You also, I call out, says the Lord, into free space. Yes, I call you out into the dance with the joyful. For I have said in my word that rejoice in me, that is your strength. And you, my child, who know you are sorrowful, you feel discouragement come over you, many times. But I have said in my word, I have not given you the spirit of discouragement, but I have given you the spirit of power, the wisdom, and love. And I want you to turn your eyes to me, says the Lord, look at me, who is the originator of the faith. Be glad and rejoice in my salvation, rejoice that I have written your name in the book of life, says the Lord. And when you begin to be glad and rejoice in these things, then you will know the anointing will come upon your life. For behold, says the Lord, when you follow me and walk in my footsteps, you will experience my anointing. Amen.”
That made me start studying biology this fall and then I thought more about how he had paved the way for me into the heavenly sanctuary, for me to follow. The priesthood in the new covenant is like this.
Heb.4:14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The priesthood of the Old Covenant is the role model of this. On the great day of atonement, the high priest offered the sin offering and went into the holy place with the blood, first for himself and then for the people. But now Jesus has taken away the sin with his sin offering once for all and entered the heavenly sanctuary with his blood. On that basis I can go after and take advantage of it, by ascending to the throne of grace, first and foremost for myself. Secondly for others as well. I go in and be blessed and then I am a blessing for others as well. Jesus has said that he will make me a channel for his blessing.
